Our first photo shoot

Being a start up business with a low budget usually creates some interesting situations. We thought we would share one of them.

We caught a ride to the studio one evening, to prepare for our first photo shoot the following day. The car dropped us off at the bus stop on the main street next to the studio. We had started to load off clothes hangers, bags, and boxes when we got the bright idea that we just could reassemble the on-wheels clothes rack, and roll all the boxes across the street.

This was of course much to the amusement of the lone gentleman watching us while he waited for the bus. When we started pulling out the hangers, he couldn’t believe his eyes and exclaimed, “you’ve gotta be kidding!”, thinking we were going to start hanging up the clothes right there and then. Somehow he had gotten the notion that we were planning on squatting at the bus station for the night.

Once he understood the genius of our improvised transportation method, he started giving us tips on how to best load all the equipment on the rack and checked out all our props. In the end he had gotten quite engaged and you could tell that he was a little disappointed to miss the rest of the ridiculous situation when he had to catch the bus to his Christmas dinner. Before jumping on the bus he assured us that we would be his main story.

We couldn’t contain our embarrassed laughter when we started dragging the poor rack through the snowy streets of Oslo, but I for one love a random story.
